
Sara Aliza Eisen is an American journalist on television who is currently affiliated with CNBC. She is a co-anchor for the channel's shows 'Squawkon the Street' as well as Closing Bell'. An Ohio native and a native of Ohio, she wasn't too interested in the markets and currencies during her time in college. While attending New York University she interned with ForexTV.com. It was here that she received the first experience of business news. She then earned a master's degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She completed a four-month work experience with Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. After returning to the US in the fall, she was able working at Bloomberg's office in New York. She was a TV anchor eventually. CNBC employed her as a reporter in December 2013. Before being hired at "Closing Bell and 'Closing Bell', she was an anchor on 'Worldwide Exchange' and 'Power Lunch'. Eisen is also co-anchoring "Squawk on The Street" since 2014. Her main area of focus since her arrival at CNBC is global news for consumers.
